چکیده
This paper presents the application of spectral analysis methods that are based on the FFT algorithm to the study of the surface EMG power spectrum compression. Some preferred characteristic frequencies used to monitor the spectral compression are the mean and median frequencies. In this work, we show that the spectral density estimation by the Blackman-Tukey method associated with the weighting windows pennits a hener track of the compression with regard to the periodogram. The effect of the ’ype and the size of windows is examined in order to determine the appropriate window that well describes the spectral compression; and thus the best process descriptor of the muscular fatigue.

A Novel Sampling Approach in GNSS-RO Receivers with Open Loop Tracking Method
Propagation of radio occultation (RO) signals through the lower troposphere results in high phase acceleration and low signal to noise ratio signal. The excess Doppler estimation accuracy in lower troposphere is very important in receiving RO signals which can be estimated by sliding window spectral analysis. To do this, various frequency estimation methods such as MUSIC and ESPRIT can be adopt...
متن کاملAdaptive Segmentation with Optimal Window Length Scheme using Fractal Dimension and Wavelet Transform
In many signal processing applications, such as EEG analysis, the non-stationary signal is often required to be segmented into small epochs. This is accomplished by drawing the boundaries of signal at time instances where its statistical characteristics, such as amplitude and/or frequency, change. In the proposed method, the original signal is initially decomposed into signals with different fr...

Non-parametric methods of Spectrum Estimation Such as Periodogram, Modified Periodogram, Welch, Bartlett and Blackman-Tukey are generally used but are not always efficient in finding out the power spectral densities. These methods lacks due to their limitations like windowing of the autocorrelation sequence, spectral leakage, poor resolution and incapability to include the available information...
متن کاملWindowing Effects of Short Time Fourier Transform on Wideband Array Signal Processing Using Maximum Likelihood Estimation
During the last two decades, Maximum Likelihood estimation (ML) has been used to determine Direction Of Arrival (DOA) and signals propagated by the sources, using narrowband array signals. The algorithm fails in the case of wideband signals. As an attempt by the present study to overcome the problem, the array outputs are transformed into narrowband frequency bins, using short time Fourier tran...
